The Good Fridge is a mobile application that guides users to make ethical decisions in their grocery purchases and food consumption. The application helps users determine personalized monthly goals based on ethical issues important to them (ie. Environment, animal rights, human rights). Before users visit the grocery markets, users can upload their grocery lists and receive suggestions on the best products to purchase nearby.
The Good Fridge Project is a response to the growing demographic of young, socially-conscious consumers who care about the impact of their food consumption but are inundated with information overload. It takes way too much time to find out the answer to each consumption choice— which brand of coffee imports beans that are grown by farmers who are paid fairly, which type of milk uses the least amount of water. This app will solve these ethical dilemmas by recommending products that align with the user's personal goals and values.
Project is in progress. More information coming soon in June!
